Born Joyce Penelope Wilhemina Frankenberg on February 15, 1951 to Mieke and Benjamin Frankenberg in Hayes, Hillingdon, England. She is a multi-Golden Globe and Emmy award winner English-American actress. She started her acting career in 1969 appearing in Oh! What a Lovely War. However, she is more well known in the 1973 James Bond film Live and Let Die in her role as the Bond Girl Solitaire. One of her most profound roles was as Elise McKenna in Somewhere In Time.
In 1993, she portrayed the role of Dr. Michaela Quinn in the TV show Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. She has been in countless roles from television shows to movies. In 2000, she was appointed the Officer of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen of England, Queen Ellizabeth II.
She is the mother to four children, Katie and Sean Flynn from her marriage to David Flynn, and John and Kristopher Keach from her marriage to James Keach. Plus, the stepmother to Jenni Flynn and Kalen Keach. Also, the grandmother to six grandchildren. Which is her most prized role in her life.
In 2010, she founded the Open Hearts Foundation with former Husband James Keach.
